From strategic planning to project execution, the work you do matters and will help improve our processes to make our airport work better for our communities. The Systems Analyst – Airport Applications will own business system management throughout the System Life Cycle for a specific group of internal customers. This work will include understanding and championing the customers’ business needs (primarily within IT), exploring and assessing alternative solutions, developing and maintaining a master plan of initiatives, managing projects from start to finish, and creating an environment to effectively support and develop systems. Key Responsibilities Manage the support services for applications in production, including monitoring the marketplace for products and services that may benefit customers. Work with technology service providers, internally and externally to YVR, to ensure a high quality of service. Project‑manage small to medium‑sized projects and be accountable for project scope, budget, timeline, and risks. Document business requirements using standard deliverables such as entity‑relationship diagrams and specifications for interfaces. Create other project deliverables as required (e.g., test plans, training materials, and transition documentation). Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum 5 years of recent related experience as a Systems Analyst, along with a project management background. Knowledge and expertise in packaged system implementation support and business systems development. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrated presentation and negotiation skills with vendors, senior management, and leadership. Excellent documentation skills, including workflow documentation. This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position. As part of our recruitment process, short‑listed candidates may be required to participate in an assessment process. Salary Range $90,039 to $117,674 per annum, based on a 37.5‑hour work week.
