Equity Associate Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth team at Mercer. This role will be based in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver and is a hybrid position requiring on‑site presence at least three days a week. Role Overview The Equity Associate Portfolio Manager is part of Mercer’s Portfolio Management team, a key component of our Investment Solutions business. With a growing, diverse client base and a focus on sustainability, this role supports equity strategies, fosters innovation and thought leadership, and works collaboratively with global partners across client services, business development and portfolio management. We Will Count on You to: Participate in the Canadian portfolio management team to manage equity funds and achieve client outcomes. Contribute to all global equity committees to represent Canada. Be a self‑starter who questions, challenges, and improves existing processes. Work collaboratively with our sustainability team to promote ESG thought leadership. What You Need to Have: Minimum 5 years of investment experience, with preference for equity experience. CFA Charterholder (or actively studying for the CFA). Strong technical skills and the ability to learn new systems; knowledge of Bloomberg, Factset, and CRIMS is an asset. Proficiency in Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication. Relevant work experience in investment management, consulting or related fields. What Makes You Stand Out? Focus on the client’s objectives when managing assets. A strong team‑based approach that welcomes self‑challenge. Interest in a fund‑of‑funds approach and the ability to understand different investment managers and styles. Portfolio construction experience. Bilingual (French/English) is an asset (not required).
