Job Overview We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives for the Gates Brantford Canada business. The role will report to the Fluid Power North America HR Director and oversee HR functions across manufacturing, distribution, and commercial offices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with the Plant Manager to develop workforce and talent strategies aligned with facility objectives. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to implement standardized HR practices across gates. Lead local HR activities, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and priorities. Direct and develop local HR resources, sharing best practices with other Gates HR managers. Key Responsibilities Design and execute HR strategies for workforce planning, compensation, benefits, training, records management, employee relations, and compliance. Manage recruitment, coaching, performance reviews, compensation, and change management initiatives across multiple facilities. Provide HR advice and counsel, resolve issues, and facilitate communication of job requirements and priorities. Supervisory Responsibilities Formal supervisor of associates, setting priorities and coaching to meet deadlines. Manage performance and people development for team members. Requirements and Preferred Skills Minimum 5‑7 years of progressive HR experience leading multiple functions (recruiting, employee relations, compensation, talent management, training, and development). Manufacturing and commercial environment experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required. Partner with business leaders to develop and drive initiatives. High‑level interpersonal and leadership skills, influencing and coaching across levels and locations. Strong decision‑making, critical thinking, and change‑management leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of HR legal requirements (employment, employee rights, employer obligations, work share programs). ISO 9001 HR requirements knowledge preferred.
