We are not a registered charity or non-profit organization, and are a local service group. If your school accepts, your supervisor would be Parmis Falahat. For every three letters written, you will receive one hour of community involvement. You are responsible for tracking your hours and ensuring letter length is appropriate. If you no longer want to volunteer, submit a volunteer form as a PDF for us to review, sign, and return to you. If you are not seeking volunteer hours, you can write letters on topics such as memories, pets, jokes, riddles, or vacations. Samples are on our website. Send letters via email (projecttightknit@gmail.com) and we print and deliver them to nursing homes. We try to send them monthly. Do not include political or religious content; dates and COVID-19 references should be avoided. Letters should not be directed to a specific recipient, as they are distributed at random. Letters can be submitted as Google Docs, Word documents, or PDFs.RequirementsWhether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to express your interest.
