What you’ll be working on: Accountable for the overall management and direction of day‑to‑day sales floor functions, upholding Savers Vision and Core Values. Reports to the Store Manager. Store Performance Ensure store performance meets financial targets and key metrics. Continuously monitor and set the pace of work. Analyze and act on key metrics, observations, and information. Inspect sales floor for shop‑ability, merchandising standards, and a positive customer/donor experience. Lead generation of new Super Savers Club memberships. Prioritize and direct team member activity. Leadership and Development Lead, direct, and supervise supervisors and retail floor team members. Plan staffing needs and coordinate recruitment, selection, and training. Regularly interact, train, coach, and counsel supervisors and team members, providing recognition and candid feedback. Identify and develop high‑potential team members for supervisory and management positions. Model a respectful, values‑driven workplace that follows all Savers policies and procedures. Assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence. Retail and CDC Operations Schedule supervisors and team members for cash register, self‑checkout, and sales floor roles. Continuously assess the floor and donor areas, directing activity to meet standards. Inform team of operating plan targets and progress. Monitor sales, items sold, and labor hours to ensure efficiency targets. Identify sub‑standard departments/categories and take corrective action. Determine space‑to‑sales ratios using the CatMax tool, adjusting linear footage to maximize sales. Respond to customer questions, requests, and complaints. Process exchanges, special customer needs, and team member purchases. Leverage Voice of Customer Program to improve satisfaction. Deliver a positive customer/donor experience through example and coaching. Implement sales and marketing promotions & programs. Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring policy adherence and supporting the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Protect company assets and information, ensuring safe handling and integrity. Manage cash and tender controls, perform morning accounting, and train supervisors in these procedures. Promote loss prevention awareness and uphold relevant procedures. What you have: Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to observe, assess, and coach others. Common sense understanding for following written and verbal instructions. Reasoning, decision‑making, and independent judgment in various situations. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience: High School diploma; post‑secondary degree or diploma preferred. Experience in sales floor supervision, cashier supervision, customer service management, or retail management. Experience in Savers production environment (sorting, grading, pricing) preferred; can be acquired on the job. FLSA: Exempt Travel: Will periodically need to drive to meetings or other stores for business purposes.
