Salary: $26.17 per hour to start

Job Summary:
Kinark Child and Family Services is always on the lookout for qualified Instructor Therapists to join the Autism Services team. Our Instructor Therapists are responsible for intensive behavioural intervention, providing services for children and youth with autism. In this role, you will work with children and youth in home, clinic, centre, and classroom-based settings, both one-on-one and in small groups.

This position requires the successful candidate to be available on Evenings (3pm – 8pm) and on Weekends.

  1. Client Services: Deliver individualized services based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Participate in evidence-based programming, administer skill acquisition programs, and liaise with parents to provide progress updates.
  2. Data Collection and Review: Conduct behaviour or curriculum assessments and monitor progress by keeping detailed records of the child’s behaviour and skill acquisition.
  3. Administrative Duties: Maintain the clinical binder for each client, prepare datasheets, and participate in agency initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Autism and Behaviour Science, Behavioural Psychology, or a related field.
• College diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker, or Developmental Service Worker may be considered.
• 1 year of experience in delivering ABA-based programming is an asset.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Knowledge of cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages is an asset.
