Job Summary

RSG International, a global leader in road safety infrastructure, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting functions for multiple entities. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and provides financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accounts receivable, cash receipts, collections, accounts payable, and cash disbursement functions, ensuring accurate and timely transactions as outlined in accounting procedures.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts in collaboration with leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and industry-specific regulations, including tax filings and HST/GST remittances.
  • Track and report on accounts receivable and accounts payable KPIs for all group companies.
  • Assist other business units with accounts receivable collection issues as required.
  • Track and monitor intercompany collections for the group, ensuring compliance with intercompany payment policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement improvements.
  • Leverage accounting software to automate workflows and enhance accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is a strong asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proactive and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure.
