Job Title: Firmware Engineer - Intermediate (CAN) Location: Markham, ON or Vancouver, BC Duration: 12 months Pay Range: $55 - $68.96/hr (net $60.00/hr – $68.96/hr base; actual pay varies with skills and experience) Company Overview Net2Source Inc. is a global workforce solutions leader with 5,500+ employees in 34 countries, dedicated to bridging the talent gap with precision. The Role Join the Memory IO team as a Firmware designer, contributing to high‑speed LPDDR, DDR, and inter‑chip IO IP development. Your work will span micro‑architecture, firmware/hardware co‑design, and algorithm design to support industry‑leading Memory PHYs and interface IP. Responsibilities Implement and maintain complex continuous integration systems using GitHub Actions to ensure robust builds and tests across environments. Manage integration of external codebases, maintaining compatibility and synchronization with upstream and downstream components. Monitor the CI health of the main branch, quickly identifying, tracing, and resolving failures. Create and manage releases with bespoke processes to ensure thorough QA and testing. Assist teammates with conflict resolution and coordinate pull requests to optimize GitHub workflows. Debug system‑level tests in multiple unique environments for comprehensive coverage. Conduct post‑silicon lab bring‑up and optimization for DDR training, runtime operation, and diagnostic features. Qualifications & Skills +5 years of experience as a firmware engineer. Extensive experience with CI/CD, GitHub, and GitHub Actions. Proficiency in C, C++, Python, JSON, and YAML. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self‑starting, independent, and ownership‑minded. Systematic, analytical, and detail‑oriented problem solving. Experience with SERDES, DDR, and Memory Controller design. Knowledge of computer organization and architecture preferred. Laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc. preferred. Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering strongly desired; Master’s or PhD is a plus.
