We seek an experienced candidate with interest in using low-temperature or optical sensing techniques to search for physics Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) via precision measurements of nuclear decay at the eV-scale. The successful candidate will be integrated into both the and experiments, as well as our other experimental programs under development, and will be tasked with driving their technical and scientific goals while advising several graduate students. The researcher will primarily be based in Golden, CO, USA and will manage the local experimental and laboratory facilities related to the superconducting sensing programs, however frequent travel to other locations including Michigan, TRIUMF (Vancouver, Canada) and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (California) may be required. The candidate must be able to work well in diverse, mid-sized international collaborations, and will be responsible for documenting and disseminating their research work according to guidelines of the collaborations. It is also expected that researchers will have the interest and opportunity to develop their own new physics research directions within the general scope of our program.Opportunities to collaborate on experiments at labs around the world within our research portfolio is also possible based on the candidates' expertise and interest. The initial appointment will be for two years, with the possible extension of a third. Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be commensurate with the experience and fit of the candidate.
