This role is important to maintaining quality and consistency across our published work, helping ensure that everything we publish is clear, accurate, well-structured, and genuinely useful to readers.The role involves a mix of editing and writing. You'll spend time reviewing drafts from other writers (including articles, newsletters, video scripts, etc.), improving structure, flow, and clarity, and ensuring that each piece meets our editorial standards.You'll also contribute original content and collaborate with subject matter experts to turn technical ideas into accessible writing.As part of the content team, you'll also weigh in on content planning, help shape best practices, and support the ongoing development of our content offerings.This role is a good fit for someone who's confident in both editing and writing, comfortable offering feedback, and interested in technology and AI. It's hands-on, collaborative, and focused on producing content that's genuinely helpful and well-executed.ResponsibilitiesEdit content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, structure, and logical flowWrite original content, including blog posts, long-form content, and other formsReview and provide feedback on drafts from other writers across the teamHelp shape editorial standards and best practices, and coach others toward themMaintain consistency in tone, formatting, and structure across content typesCollaborate with subject matter experts to turn technical ideas into readable contentParticipate in content planning, brainstorms, and distribution discussionsLearn and apply SEO best practices to optimize content for performanceSupport content audits, gap analyses, and improvements to existing assetsConduct SEO research and optimize existing content to improve search rankingsSupport content strategy by identifying new opportunities and refreshing older piecesContribute to top-of-funnel campaigns and resource contentHelp build reporting processes to measure the performance of published contentAssist with research, video script development, and other cross-functional content projectsCollaborate with the broader marketing team to align content with business goalsRequirementsAn excellent editor with a strong grasp of grammar, logic, and narrative clarityA confident writer who can explain technical ideas in a simple, engaging wayAble to assess the structure and purpose of a piece, not just fix typosThoughtful with feedback — you know how to help others improve their workInterested in technology, AI, and the future of automationComfortable working independently and managing multiple projects at onceCurious and always looking to improve — both your own work and the team's outputFamiliar with (or excited to learn) how to write content that performs: SEO, CTAs, and value deliveryAbout BotpressAs a fast-growing Series B start-up, we run a lean and innovative ship that leans on AI for maximum business impact.
