As a dedicated SRE/DevOps leader at JobGet, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting our cloud architecture, automation, and developer enablement strategy. You must be comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑autonomy startup environment – balancing hands‑on engineering with strategic decision‑making, and driving best‑practices across scalable architecture, monitoring, security, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the technical foundation of a growing product and ensure our systems scale alongside our business. Responsibilities Partner with leadership to shape long‑term infrastructure strategy and technical roadmap Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure on AWS Develop infrastructure‑as‑code to manage and scale environments Drive infrastructure cost optimization while maintaining performance and reliability Ensure efficient use of compute resources (GPUs/TPUs) for AI workloads while managing costs and scalability Evaluate and integrate emerging AI‑powered tools to enhance operational efficiency and developer productivity Leverage AI/ML tools to predict infrastructure issues before they impact performance, automate root‑cause analysis, and optimize CI/CD pipelines Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure visibility, performance, and reliability Participate in incident response and post‑mortem processes; help establish and refine best practices Collaborate closely with engineering teams to optimize build, deployment, and release processes Establish and evolve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and automated software delivery Set and enforce DevOps best practices across the organization, mentoring engineers in cloud, automation, and security Demonstrate a high degree of resourcefulness and autonomy; you will be empowered to make significant technical decisions and drive projects end‑to‑end with limited oversight Who You Are 7+ years of experience in a combined SRE/ DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role, with at least 2+ years in a lead role Deep expertise with cloud platforms (AWS required; experience with GCP or Azure a plus) Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.) Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure monitoring Proficiency in debugging, triaging, and isolating faults across distributed, microservices‑based systems Experience scaling, consolidating, and standardizing infrastructure in a startup environment Strong background in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar) Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation) Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering and leadership teams along with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts Comfortable working in agile teams and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle A builder’s mindset: you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, solving tough problems, and enabling others to move faster Benefits & Rewards Purpose‑driven organization Flexible time off Remote‑first Flexible work hours – our employees are in multiple time zones Medical & dental plans Parental leave Employee stock options Job Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Engineering and Information Technology Industries: Internet Publishing Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
