OverviewLocation: Timmins, OntarioTerm: 3-Year Contract (35 hours per week)Reports To: Executive DirectorThe Alzheimer Society of Cochrane-Timmins (also serving the Temiskaming region) is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, as well as their caregivers. We offer education, awareness, and support programs across Northern Ontario communities.We are currently seeking a Marketing and Communication Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in managing our online presence, coordinating events, and strengthening community awareness and engagement through creative marketing initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing (20%)Manage and monitor social media accounts and website activityTrack metrics, generate reports, and suggest strategies based on analyticsWebsite Management (25%)Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and brand consistencyMonitor website performance (links, errors, analytics, etc.)Collaborate with shared services on special web projectsPlan and implement fundraising events, including the annual Walk for Alzheimer’sSupport additional charity revenue initiatives and community fundraising effortsAwareness (20%)Collaborate with the Education team to plan and deliver awareness campaigns and public eventsPromote January Awareness Month and other regional initiatives across all media platformsCommunications (5%)Draft newsletters, social media posts, and marketing materials for print and digital useSupport internal and external communicationsQualificationsPost-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Digital Media, or equivalent experience1–3 years of relevant experience, including social media managementProficiency in creative and digital tools such as Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with marketing/fundraising systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Luminate)Working knowledge of HTML, graphic design tools, and Google AnalyticsExcellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlinesBilingual (English/French) is an assetOccasional travel within the Cochrane–Temiskaming region requiredWhy Join UsBe part of a compassionate, mission-driven organization that makes a difference in local communitiesWork creatively across multiple platforms to share impactful stories and eventsCollaborate with a dedicated team supporting families affected by dementiaPlease send your resume and cover letter via -email only-to:Please put Marketing Communication Specialist in the subject lineCommitment to Equity and InclusionThe Alzheimer Society recognizes the value and dignity of each individual and ensures everyone has genuine, open, and unhindered access to employment opportunities, free from barriers, systemic or otherwise.
