We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cloud Architect to lead the organization’s transition to Microsoft EntraID, with a focus on cloud identity, architecture, and migration. You will be a member of KPMG Canada Business Enablement Services (BES) Technology Architecture & Implementation team and will guide a secure, scalable EntraID migration while collaborating with IT, security, operations, and business units to deliver a strategic roadmap.What You Will DoDesign and develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures tailored to client requirementsLead projects involving Active Directory migrations, consolidations, and integrations with MS EntraID cloud identity servicesDesign and facilitate the application transition from local Active Directory to Azure cloud identity, ensuring seamless integrationImplement hybrid identity solutions, including Azure AD Connect, to enable SSO and secure access to cloud resourcesTroubleshoot and resolve complex identity synchronization issues to ensure high availability of identity servicesCollaborate with KPMG Global and KPMG Canada internal IdM teams to support EntraID/AzureAD and other modern IdM technologiesManage, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise certificate authorities and oversee the complete certificate lifecycle across cloud and hybrid environmentsCollaborate with KPMG Global Architects, Canadian Architecture, Operations, and Security teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions for KPMG CanadaDefine cloud architectural standards and best practices, providing consistent recommendations and oversightAlign solution design with KPMG’s digital strategy and business priorities to deliver effective architecturesEnsure solutions have performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability, and reliabilityWhat You Bring To The RoleBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field, or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience architecting solutions on major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect ExpertExtensive expertise in Active Directory architecture, administration, and troubleshooting, including domain controller deployment, security hardening, group policy, synchronization, and cloud integrationExperience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting identity and access management systems (EntraID, Okta, MFA)Experience with authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAPExperience managing certificate authorities, PKI, and certificate lifecycle in complex enterprise environmentsExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamStrong understanding of cloud-native architecture and Infrastructure as CodeHands-on experience designing and configuring secure and scalable cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure, including account structure, security, compliance, and connectivityKnowledge of cloud services, application integration, databases, data warehousing, analytics, serverless computing, security, and identity managementExperience with API and Webhook development using PowerShell, Python, Node.js, Ruby, and Shell scriptingProficient in PowerShell and Shell scriptingThis position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders nationally in our English-speaking provinces.Compensation and BenefitsKPMG BC Region Pay Range Information: The expected base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $128,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. Determination of base salary within this range is based on location, skills, competencies, and qualifications.
