Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionThe Senior Project Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the Construction Services team regarding contract modifications, compliance, payments, reports and any other duties related to the project. The Senior Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the profitability of the job, monthly profit and loss, ensuring accurate % of completion recording each month and will be required to coordinate with the Project Management team. This position reports to the Controller.What You’ll DoManage all accounting related functions for assignedAssist project teams with any questions or needs related to the accounting Specifically, liaison between the Accounts receivable team, and the Construction Services.Manage invoicing, payments, taxes, reporting and compliance for assignedHave an understanding of compliance requirements for assignedMaintain SOP for project accounting to ensure all parties are clear on responsibilitiesContinuous improvement mindset to continually improve processes.Process project related vendor invoices accurately and within assigned timelineProcess sub-contractor payments accurately and within assigned timelineCollect and track compliance documentsGenerate reports including Payroll, A / R, Contract Status, and JobPrepare monthly profit / loss statements for each contract in accordance with US GAAPAnalyze results and provide insights to Construction Services leadershipsPrepare Purchase Orders and monitor goods receipts / related accountingPrepare sales invoices and ensure tax complianceOther related accounting and finance duties as assigned or neededEnsure compliance with SOX controlsWhat You BringAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar businessMinimum 5 years prior experience working as a project accountantExperience in the construction industry preferredProficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor paymentsStrong communication skillsKey competencies are Communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependabilityMicrosoft office suiteGCPayTexturaWhat’s In It For You :A competitive base salary plus variable pay (bonus) programs.An on-site cafeteria with coffee, soft drinks, continental breakfast, hot lunches, snacks, and more.Eligibility to participate in DIRTT’s Employee Share Purchase Plan.Fulsome employer-paid health benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage.Short-term and long-term disability coverage plus life, critical illness, and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.Mental health resources including an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).A thorough and supportive onboarding program to set you up for success.To ensure the accuracy of job related information provided by candidates, employment with DIRTT is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check.
