Production Control Associate – Lockheed Martin Join Lockheed Martin as a Production Control Associate and become part of the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, supporting engineering, systems integration, training, sustainment and in‑service support programs for Canadian and international military customers across land, air and sea. Specific Job Description Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules that align with company objectives and customer requirements, considering factors such as demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory levels, and resource availability to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Team Leadership: Coordinate and direct production teams, manage staff schedules and resources to meet production targets, and provide clear direction and feedback from the production floor. Material Management: Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components required for production. Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, and support the performance of the Performance Metric Tracking (PMT) metrics. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on production performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision‑making. Problem‑Solving: Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions. Continuous Improvement: Work on process improvements, implement lean 6S manufacturing principles, and drive efficiency gains. Communication & Coordination: Liaise with production, purchasing, quality, maintenance and engineering departments to ensure alignment and smooth operations. Lead cross‑functional efforts to coordinate solutions and achieve continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. This is an On‑Site position with an available compressed work week schedule. Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience One year’s experience in production or a similar role, with knowledge of production planning and quality control principles. Strong leadership skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience Post‑secondary education. Experience in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system such as SAP. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. Microsoft Excel experience.
