The role requires daily interaction and collaboration with various stakeholders across multiple teams.Responsibilities:Identify critical and repetitive automated test cases, automate them, oversee their execution and maintenance.Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.Ensure bugs are triaged and resolved promptly, fostering a culture of quality within production teams.Develop and execute automation scripts in an Agile environment, adhering to automation best practices.Develop and execute test plans across multiple projects, document results, and collaborate to identify root causes.Gain an in-depth understanding of projects, customer contexts, objectives, and use cases.Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality software that meets customer requirements.Work closely with customers and teams to ensure requirements are testable and solutions are coherent, consistent, and complete.Participate in standups and planning meetings, contribute to risk identification and resolution.Understand the technical features of Smile Digital Health’s products to plan testing activities.Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.Mentor new team members and support QA leadership as needed.Ensure accurate reporting of working hours in Netsuite, with a focus on billable hours and proper tool utilization.Requirements:Minimum 6 years of experience in automation software testing.Experience with automated testing tools such as RestAssured and Selenium.Deep understanding of backend services, API testing, and UI testing approaches.Proficiency in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman.Strong programming skills, especially in Java for test automation.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and the role of automation within them.Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, and monitoring CI/CD tools.Experience in electronic health records or systems integration is a plus.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Undergraduate degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.Benefits include:* Remote work environment* Flexible time off including PTO, personal, and sick days* Competitive salary and health benefits* RRSP/TFSA/401K contributions* Life and disability insurance* Employee Assistance Program* FHIR Study Program and Skillsoft Learning* Super HAPI Fun ClubSmile values respect, inclusion, diversity, and creating a sense of belonging.
