We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Pharmacy department. In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, this position provides pharmacy services to patients in Northern Health. As a member of an interprofessional team, this position assesses and recommends individualized treatments. Acts as the primary resource for drug information, education, and provides expert advice to healthcare professionals. Monitors drug prescribing, drug distribution, and drug therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal, and economical use of drugs. Maintains workload records and statistics. Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday / Days - 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00. Rotation will change to include weekend shifts. Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is the largest hospital in northwest BC with 27 acute care beds. They offer emergency services, ultrasound, CT scans, surgery, extended care, pediatrics, radiology, and obstetrics. Additional services include diabetes education, health heart and rehabilitation, podiatry, orthopedics, and visiting specialists. Prince Rupert is a coastal port city with a population of 12,220 (2021). It is nestled into a mountain and surrounded by the Great Bear Rainforest. Visitors can see rare wildlife, explore rugged landscapes, and experience world-class fishing adventures, known as the halibut capital of the world.
