As a member of an interprofessional team, this position assesses and recommends individualized treatments. Acts as the primary resource for drug information, education and provides expert advice to health care professionals. Monitors drug prescribing, drug distribution and drug therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal and economic use of drugs. Maintains workload records and statistics.Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:00 to 15:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00, 10:00 to 18:00. Rotation will include some weekend and stat coverage (approx. one weekend day/month and 4 stats/year).University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest Acute Care facility within the Northern Health region, and a hub for specialized health services. Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or a combination of at least one year of hospital experience and advanced education courses.
