Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeping Aide / Laundry Aide) Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to assist in all aspects of laundry and housekeeping services. The position reports to the Manager or Supervisor of Environmental Services. Position Summary Assist in laundry and housekeeping services in accordance with established standards, procedures, and infection control guidelines. Prioritize and complete duties, inspections, and inventory within established timeframes and schedules; perform all duties in a manner that enhances patient and workplace safety. Responsibilities Assist in the training and/or orientation of Environmental Services staff and students. Follow departmental procedures to maintain consistency and quality of service throughout the Environmental Services Departments. Clean assigned areas per current schedules and infection control guidelines. Prioritize and complete extra cleaning duties within established timeframes. Conduct daily audits of areas of responsibility and inspect for cleanliness. Ensure equipment is clean and operating efficiently. Perform washing, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and dusting as required. Clean bed frames, mattresses, and related surfaces per schedule. Collect and wash waste receptacles. Maintain and restock housekeeping carts. Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and transport linen and clothing. Process laundry and linen per established standards and infection control guidelines. Perform minor repairs to laundry and linen equipment as needed. Distribute laundry and linen appropriately. Restock supplies as assigned. Assist with inventory procedures. Participate in department quality control audits and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Grade 9 education (MB Standards) or other suitable education/experience. Demonstrated dexterity, efficient work methods, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions. Problem solving and decision making skills. Flexibility to adapt to changes in techniques and procedures. Knowledge and competence in skills and concepts related to the position. Strong communication skills. Respect confidentiality. Ability to perform duties on a regular basis. Commitment to a culturally diverse environment. Effective teamwork with co-workers, clients, and interdisciplinary teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
