As the Production Manager for Backshift, you will play a crucial role in our operations, overseeing the chilled production processes during the evening shift. Your strategic leadership will help us maintain high of production efficiency while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Working hours Monday-Friday 15:00-00:00 Responsibilities Lead and manage the chilled production process during backshift hours to ensure quality and efficiency. Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines while fostering a safe workplace. Develop production schedules and plans to meet operational demands while minimising waste. Motivate and develop production staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. Monitor and analyse production metrics, providing reports and insights to upper management. Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with product standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in a production management role, preferably in the food industry. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and production best practices. Strong leadership qualities, with a proven ability to develop and inspire teams. Exceptional organisational and analytical abilities focused on production optimization. Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and management. Capability to analyse data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement. Flexibility to work backshift hours, with potential for weekends or holidays as needed.
