Blend Production Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Blend Production Manager will oversee the daily liquid production operations of our beverage canning plan and will be responsible for managing the blend schedule, customer and Bevmax inventories, hitting daily production targets, and directing Blend Technicians on a daily basis. The Blend Production Manager is also responsible for formulating new recipes for our customers and procuring ingredients.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Organize, plan and coordinate production activities daily to meet the production schedule.
- Assign tasks to the Blend team, ensuring the production targets are met, and quality standards are maintained.
- Create, adjust and finalize new customer formulas based on customer feedback.
- Create relationships with ingredient suppliers and develop an in-depth knowledge of ingredient availability, cost, lead-time etc.
- Ensure that all resources including materials, machines, and labor are used effectively and efficiently.
- Manage and train blend technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to fulfill their duties.
- Ensure that all safety and health regulations and procedures are always followed and investigate and report any incidents.
- Provide constructive feedback to production team members and deal with performance issues in a timely fashion.
- Work closely with maintenance team to ensure that any equipment breakdowns or malfunctions are resolved quickly.
- Ensure that all production documentation is up-to-date and accurate daily.
- Manage the chilling and carbonation schedules and perform all product parameter testing and reporting together with the Blend Team and QA to ensure that product is ready to package as needed.
- Generate and manage the weekly blend schedule (based off sales and QA scheduling and approvals being complete) including a backup plan to maintain daily production goals in case of a plan ‘A’ failure.
- Be responsible for daily blending production, tank and equipment cleaning, as well as carbonation and dissolved oxygen management.
- Ensure we are meeting customer requirements and solve problems proactively together with QA (conduct tastings on every batch, reporting tasting notes to customers and manage in-person tastings as required).
- Be responsible to have the liquid ready to package every morning per the schedule
- Manage ingredient inventories and inbound ingredients for both customers and Bevmax internally.
- Maintain appropriate min/max on Bevmax owned items and coordinate with purchasing to ensure no out of stock occurs.
- Perform all Human Resources functions as required for direct reports (Blend Team)
- Cross train and fill in as a deputy for listed positions as required: Packaging Production Manager, Blend Technician, etc
**Skills/Qualifications and competencies**:
- Proactive and solution-oriented -strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Familiarity/experience with beverage processing methods and equipment including mixers, in-line carbonator, tank CIP procedures etc.
- Good job task planning, time management and organizational skills
- Good mathematical skills
- Strong understanding of food safety, or food science.
- Able to lift 60 pound object with ease and be on feet for 8 hrs per day
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- General computer knowledge / skills

**Experience**:
