CCIS is committed to welcoming and serving newcomers of all races, ethnic and national origins, cultural backgrounds and religions, sexual orientations and gender identities and expressions.CCIS – Resettlement and Integration Services (RIS) DivisionCCIS Resettlement & Integration Services (RIS) division provides support services that enable Government Assisted Refugees (GARs) to transition to a new life in Calgary. RIS also offers several programs specific to refugee children and youth. RIS programs are designed to: assist in developing the independence of our clients, build capacity within the family structure and enhance our clients’ economic success. Our team of multicultural counselors provide settlement assistance in over 90 languages.Job SummaryResettlement and Integration Services (RIS) Division is searching for our next Youth Case Manager and is accepting applications from qualified job seekersThe Youth Case Manager works as part of a team to provide coordinated settlement and integration services and supports to newly arrived government-assisted refugees’ (GARs) and privately sponsored refugees’ (PSRs) children and youth using a multidisciplinary, case-management approach.Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Conduct initial intake and needs assessments using the needs assessment matrix, quarterly check-ins, empowerment plans, and on-going needs assessments as required for youth ages 16-24Provide case management services according to the clients’ level of need using assessments; information orientations and referrals; accompaniments; home visits; and follow-ups and advocacy to assist clients towards living independently and integrating successfullyDevelop individualized, goal-orientated plans for care and actionProvide information orientations and referrals to a wide array of community agencies, professional services, settlement and social services, etc across Calgary, according to the needs of the clientsConduct regular home visits and accompany clients to various appointments in the community for different services and resourcesProvide life skills, telephone and virtual support, and crisis intervention as neededLiaise, collaborate, and advocate with internal programs and external service providers/community agencies for services and resources to bridge the services needed for youthPlan and deliver group educational workshops and information sessions on various topics of needMaintain daily case notes, incident reports and attendance logsMaintain client files, complete monthly reporting, and prepare other reports as requestedQualifications and SkillsPost-secondary education in the Social Services field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference to graduates of Social Work, Health Sciences, and/or Youth Development.A minimum of two years of practical experience working with newcomer youth ages 16-24.Experience in case management role serving a vulnerable population.Knowledge of the settlement and integration process and a working knowledge of the challenges faced by Refugees new to Canada.A demonstrated commitment to responding to clients’ requests and needs skillfully and in a timely manner.Able to build relationships and maintain positive, healthy rapport with clients, partners and co-workers.Familiarity with local community youth programs and general government services.Able to conduct outreach and to partner with community and settlement services.Able to thrive in a fast paced, multidisciplinary, culturally diverse workplace.Strong abilities in problem solving, crisis management and behavior de-escalation.Able to perform duties independently and with minimal supervision.Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Available to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.Driver’s license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is a strong asset.Note: To serve our current client group, CCIS is currently in need of those who are fluent in one or more of the following languages, Arabic, Somali, Swahili, Tigrigna, Dari, Farsi, or Pashto.How To ApplyQualified candidates are invited to send resume and cover letter to [email protected] by Friday, December 5th, 2025.
