Job Description
About the team

The Data Platform Group, part of the Ubisoft Data Office within Ubisoft IT, develops and manages data services and tools for game telemetry. As a trusted company-wide resource, our products offer real-time insights into how Ubisoft titles are played and the habits of our players.

We are dedicated to knowledge sharing—collecting, processing, and transforming in-game data into clear, informative visualizations. These meaningful metrics empower production teams to make informed decisions, enhancing gaming experiences. We foster collaboration, continuous learning, and agile practices, aiming to standardize processes across the ML lifecycle.


The Role

Join us as a Machine Learning Developer and help govern our Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) platform while operationalizing ML projects. Your expertise will support teams in creating, testing, and deploying ML solutions that enhance safety, personalization, and scale ML/AI usage across Ubisoft.


What You’ll Do

You'll automate and simplify ML workflows and deployments, blending software engineering with ML operations. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Developers, and other stakeholders to solve complex problems and deliver real-world value.


What You Will Do
  • Govern and contribute to the industrialization of ML/AI projects, focusing on deploying and maintaining pipelines and models in production.
  • Design and implement services, tests, and interfaces that support the deployment of ML projects.
  • Play a key role in the architecture of machine learning systems.
  • Ensure the security, robustness, and performance of ML solutions during production deployments.
  • Design and implement scalable end-to-end, continuous, and automated deployment, monitoring, and versioning processes for ML models.
  • Guide, collaborate, and support users in optimizing ML pipelines, becoming an expert on the Databricks platform.
  • Mentor and engage with ML/AI practitioners across Ubisoft, sharing knowledge and best practices in ML Ops.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept projects, advancing knowledge of new ML technologies.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in navigating both the big picture and detailed aspects of Data Science /ML Engineering, with a solid programming experience with either Java, Scala or Python.
  • Experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field, with a focus on improving model and data quality, with a proven ability to build automated AI processes and manage large scale data pipelines.
  • Experience in deploying models, setting up model validation and operationalizing AI/ML systems at scale in production environments.
  • Experienced with ML concepts, tools such as MLFlow, and frameworks/libraries like Scikit-learn, PyTorch, XGBoost. Experience with Databricks is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge in Big Data technologies — Spark, PySpark, data engineering, and pipeline architecture is essential.
  • Foundation in and understanding of software engineering principles, and proficient in DevOps tools and practices.
