Position Summary
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Director, Strategy, Performance, and Communications is responsible for driving organizational performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and leading strategic initiatives that operational excellence. This role focuses on aligning organizational goals with performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to achieve sustainable growth and effectiveness.
Collaborating with other leaders across the organization and other key stakeholders, this strategic leader is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating strategy and performance that drives organizational growth, improves service delivery, and enhances customer outcomes while holding people accountable.
The Director, Performance, Strategy and Communications, is responsible for leading the Communications and Marketing Team ensuring communication both internal and external is professional, transparent and timely. Ensuring all marketing and communications adheres to our branding and standards is the responsibility of this department.
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate Degree in advertising, marketing and communications, public affairs, or healthcare related field
- Master's Degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field
- 5 - 7 years of experience in performance management, strategic planning, preferably in healthcare, which must include five (5) years' experience in a management/leadership role
- Minimum of five (5) years' corporate communications experience; healthcare sector experience preferred
- Proven experience in corporate communications or public affairs, writing, editing and developing crisis and issues management strategies in a healthcare or hospital setting
- High level of competency in MS Office, website content management system, social media platforms PowerPoint, Content Management and user experience design
- Proven experience developing and implementing performance improvement strategies.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with performance measurement, data reporting and analysis
- Proven collaborative leadership, team building and change management skills
- Extensive knowledge of performance management strategies in the hospital sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Superior communication, decision making, problem solving, facilitation and strategic planning skills
- Superior presentation skills
- Broad understanding of the health care system, related issues and trends, policies and legislation
- Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills and extensive experience developing a wide variety of communication vehicles and styles
- Advanced knowledge of the political environment as well as healthcare issues
- Ability to research and analyze information to quickly formulate working concepts and prepare reports/stories
