OverviewManage the JBT Marel product portfolio for the Prepared Foods Segment in Canada. The Prepared Foods segment primarily covers food processors producing RTE Cooked Proteins, Deli Meats, Fried Appetizers & Snacks, Bakery Products, Pizza, Alternative Proteins, Frozen Vegetables, Cheese, Entree Meals and others. Prepared Foods customers run food production processes that include Forming, Coating, Frying, Cooking, Baking, Freezing, Batching, Weighing and Tray Sealing and upstream processes such as Meat Preparation, Injection, Massaging and Portion Cutting. The Account Manager is responsible for selling the JBT Marel product portfolio to Prepared Foods Canada accounts.ResponsibilitiesUse Salesforce CRM to forecast sales revenue for assigned accounts and territories.Maintain and reference a sales prospect list with project leads.Travel 60-70% of the time to customer plant locations and throughout the assigned territory to call on prospects.Effectively use phone and email to communicate with customers and management.Demonstrate product value using marketing materials and sales tools to emphasize features and payback of JBT Marel solutions.Manage the customer’s perception of JBT Marel as the premier food processing solutions provider.Create a territorial plan for assigned territory and strategic customers.Drive growth and expand product mix to existing customers.Negotiate and minimize order discounting to customers.Ensure new equipment sales and support Customer Care Service, maintaining customer satisfaction for new equipment and service/aftermarket sales.Communicate with field service to understand operational issues that may affect new equipment sales and work to resolve them.Drive new equipment sales by accompanying customers to technology centers for product testing.Identify revenue-generating opportunities to deploy training, field service and application services.QualificationsMinimum 4-year university degree in Engineering/Science or Food-related major (Agriculture/Food/Meat Science).At least 7 years of experience working with JBT Marel food processing equipment at a Prepared Foods processor.Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of employees.Experience influencing others through facilitation and leadership techniques.Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities under critical time constraints across a diverse group of people.French Language RequirementsEnglish/French bilingual is preferred, but not required. JBT Marel has other French speaking employees based in Canada that the candidate can collaborate with if not bilingual.Scope of Responsibility / AccountabilityPosition requires high degree of creativity, problem solving, judgment and communications skills. Significant autonomy and initiative to investigate customer needs and collaborate with other functions to meet commitments to customers. Tracking of customer sales and satisfaction. Errors could result in lost sales and adverse customer relationships.Supervisory ResponsibilityNoneFinancial ResponsibilityApproximately $10 million annually of new equipment salesWork Environment and Physical Demands60-70% travel, significant time spent under food processing plant conditions.Internal / External Contacts And Purpose Of ContactsPrimary external contact is the customer to develop new sales contacts and check on existing accounts.
