Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) provides a full range of general and many specialized acute care services including emergency and critical care, general medicine, general surgery, maternity, pediatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, orthopedics, psychiatry, palliative care, chemotherapy, diagnostics, nuclear medicine, and rehabilitative services. p>

Lions Gate Hospital is currently seeking qualified Locum Hospitalists to provide MRP medical services to acute care medical patients, geriatrics, and MRP care for neurological, neurosurgical and orthopedic patient populations, with consultant support. The successful applicants will become a member of the Division of Hospitalists within the Department of Medicine at Lions Gate Hospital and will be required to participate in an on-call rotation, which is approximately once per week. p>

The applicant must have substantial Hospitalist experience, with expertise caring for a diverse patient population in a busy community hospital. Quality improvement is a focus, as well as system improvements, teaching, infection control and antibiotic stewardship. p>Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Full
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
