Eastern Canada Response Corporation is hiring for the role of Training and Development Specialist based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The position of Training and Development Specialist is responsible for: leading the development and continuous improvement of training curricula for internal and external stakeholders overseeing planning, scheduling, execution, documentation of all training and evaluation of responder candidates submitted by contractors collaborating with external agencies, government bodies, and industry partners to design and deliver specialized training modules tailored to regulatory requirements (i.e., CSA 2001), operational needs, and client expectations maintaining and analyzing training databases to assess competency gaps and inform future training strategies Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Business Administration), or a combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in curriculum development, instructional strategy design, and outcome-based assessment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a proven track record in managing multi-agency training programs and or a combination of education and experience field operations. Ability to communicate effectively, in both official languages Knowledge of oil spill response equipment and procedures, including logistics and operations in marine and land-based environments.
