Position summary The Director of Operations owns the day-to-day delivery and operational excellence of ENDVR Energy’s expanding Energy Services portfolio with specific responsibility for Utility Locates and Asset Enablement (pole testing, IR scanning, pole‑line design, third‑party permitting and engineering). They will convert strategy into execution: building capacity, standardizing programs, improving unit economics and providing the operational backbone required to scale new and existing lines of business as ENDVR Energy advances towards a full‑service energy provider delivering high‑performance, cost‑effective, innovative solutions for utility protection, design, construction, operations and maintenance. Key duties Safety Above All Else: Lead with safety as a core value, ensuring full compliance with OSHA and all applicable utility standards. Oversee team operations to maintain a strong, proactive safety record. Operational Leadership: Lead and oversee existing energy service operations with a focus on operational excellence, strategic growth, and client satisfaction. Innovate to Elevate: Transform the development pipeline and the existing business portfolio into structured, multi‑year delivery programs that align with business growth and innovation goals. Customer Excellence: Serve as the operational escalation point for strategic customers. Ensure SLA compliance, high service standards, and operational readiness to support major partnerships and grant‑funded initiatives. Performance & Forecasting: Achieve annual and long‑term targets for capacity, cost, and margin. Deliver monthly reporting, forecasting, and risk mitigation updates to the VP and Executive Leadership Team. Market Expansion: Collaborate to develop and deploy territory‑launch playbooks to support geographic expansion and increase share of wallet within the current service base. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing teams. Build workforce capability through structured training, certification, performance management, and resourcing strategies aligned to business demand. Service Line Growth: Drive operational excellence and scalable growth within Locate and Asset Enablement services by embedding strong SOPs, QA frameworks, and PMO governance. Business Enablement Support: Create clear, concise operational content to support executive presentations, business cases, grant applications, and partner proposals to ensure alignment and strategic clarity. Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of operations including budgets, unit economics, vendor performance, and forecasting accuracy with analytical and planning support provided by the Finance team. M&A Enablement: Support M&A strategy and execution, including operational due diligence and executing Day 1 and post‑close plans that align with business priorities, ensuring successful integration. Leadership & strategic execution Executive Leadership – Ability to inspire, align, and lead cross‑functional teams toward strategic goals. People Management – Ability to lead, coach, and develop high‑performing operational teams. Strategic Thinking – Translate complex business opportunities into actionable, long‑term delivery programs. Change Management – Lead organizational change through growth, service line expansion, and M&A while maintaining stability. Operational excellence Operations Management – Deep understanding of managing day‑to‑day energy services and utility operations. Process Optimization – Ability to design and implement scalable, repeatable, and cost‑effective operating models. Budgeting & Forecasting – Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and unit economics with accuracy and discipline. P&L Management – Full accountability for operational financial outcomes, cost control, and margin delivery. Collaboration with Finance – Ability to leverage finance partners for planning, analysis, and reporting. Growth & business development Market Expansion Strategy – Ability to develop go‑to‑market playbooks and execute geographic or vertical expansion. Service Line Innovation – Experience growing adjacent services and identifying new commercially viable opportunities. Customer & partner management Client Relationship Management – Serve as a point of escalation and ensure SLA adherence and satisfaction. Partner Collaboration – Experience preparing materials and managing alignment with partners, grants, or subsidy programs. Analytical & technical competencies Data‑Driven Decision Making – Use KPIs, dashboards, and financial reports to drive operational performance. Experience & education 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in utility or energy operations, with a track record of scaling businesses, driving performance improvements, and enhancing people and business growth. Demonstrated ability to lead in complex, fast‑paced settings; bringing a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented approach to operational challenges and growth opportunities. Recognized for a history of innovation, team empowerment, and operational transformation, with a strong bias toward action and continuous improvement. Experience in new territory launches, market expansion initiatives, and strategic partner enablement, contributing to top‑line growth and operational readiness. Exposure to M&A environments, including due diligence or integration is considered an asset, but not required. Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Finance, or other; professional designations such as CET, P. Eng, MBA, or CPA are considered strong assets. Valid class G driver’s licence.
