Sr. Partner Development Manager

As a National Partner Development Manager managing a top AWS Consulting Partner you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build mindshare and adoption of Amazon's infrastructure web services with customers in North America. You will work closely with our team of Partner Solution Architects (PSA), Partner Marketing Managers (PMM) and other Partner Development Managers (PDM) to enable and empower this strategic partnership. You will develop go to market strategy and execution plans for North America with the intention of bringing world class business impacting solutions that drive customer success on the AWS platform. Dedicated to this strategic AWS partner, you will drive exponential growth through the development of their practice areas, skillsets, and integration with AWS Sales and Professional Services.
You will possess a business background that enables you to engage at the CXO level and technical sales experience that enables them to easily interact with Enterprise customers. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and to build and convey compelling partner value propositions.
Key job responsibilities- Manage the relationship with the partner's leadership team to define growth and revenue commitments for North America.
- Collaborate with AWS sales and professional services teams to generate joint opportunities and strengthen integration between AWS and the partner.
- Engage and mobilize the partner's sales teams, their distribution channels, and end customers to develop AWS revenue opportunities.
- Define and execute a business and strategic development plan for target markets in alignment with AWS strategy.
- Identify relevant customer segments and industries and develop a joint value proposition for the adoption of AWS solutions.
- Ensure the partner's success with AWS by providing the necessary technical resources to meet customer needs.
- Gather and relay partner feedback to AWS internal teams to guide product and service development.
- Communicate partner successes and capabilities to AWS teams, field sales, solutions architects, and business development.
- Prepare and present periodic business reviews to AWS management.
- Support complex contract negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal group.
- Work with AWS partner solution architects to help the assigned partner define go to market solution offerings utilizing the AWS service portfolio.
At least 5 years of experience in partner development, channel sales, or business development roles within the technology industry, preferably with cloud services or infrastructure experience.
A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English.
Due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position.
Deep understanding of the cloud market landscape, competitive dynamics, and partner ecosystem trends. This includes knowledge of partner business models, partner types (such as ISVs, SIs, MSPs), and the ability to identify and prioritize partner opportunities that align with AWS's strategic objectives.
