Apprentice Technician - Saskatoon, SK Location: First Student, Saskatoon Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift: Day or evening shifts available Start your career with a leader in student transportation First Student is North America's largest provider of school bus services. We're currently looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician to join our Saskatoon maintenance team. If you're enrolled in or have recently completed a Heavy Duty or Automotive Technician program and want hands‑on experience with a supportive team, we want to hear from you. What you'll do: Assist licensed technicians in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing school buses and other vehicles Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations Learn to use diagnostic tools and software Maintain accurate records of work performed Ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed What you bring: Enrollment in or recent completion of a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship program (Level 1 or higher) Valid driver's license (Class 5); willingness to obtain Class 2 with S endorsement (we'll help) Strong interest in vehicle maintenance and repair Team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn What we offer: Competitive hourly wage and regular wage progression as you advance through your apprenticeship Tool allowance and access to specialty tools Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, RRSP match) Paid training and support to obtain your Class 2 license Opportunities for advancement to Journeyman Technician roles A clean, safe, and well‑equipped shop environment Apply today and grow your career with First Student We're committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
