We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, coding, testing & implementation).You AreUST is searching for a Java Backend Developer who will participate in all aspects of the SDLC (analysis, design, coding testing & implementation).The OpportunityMust be able to work as an independent developer with no/minimal local oversightDetail oriented, ability to turn deliverables around quickly with high degree of accuracyAnalyze business requirements; write functional and minor development specificationsCode solutions that meet the business requirements in a timely and accurate mannerCapability to approach problems as challenges and deal with them positively and constructivelySets an example for team members in hard work, client delivery focus, preparedness, organization, positive attitude and respect for othersThis position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.What You NeedStrong in Core Java, object-oriented conceptsExperience with Spring framework and Cucumber testing frameworkStrong experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs & JSONGood knowledge of relational databases (SQL, JDBC), stored proceduresCode repository tools – GitHub, Bitbucket; CI/CD pipelines – JenkinsContainerized deployments – Kubernetes, Podman; Cloud deploymentScripting languages – Python, shell scriptsGood time management skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at onceStrong desire to understand and learn the domainExperience in financial services/banking domain, specifically Wealth Management is a plusSnowflake, Azure AKS deployment, AngularJS, TypeScriptLocation & CompensationRole Location: QuebecCompensation Range: $95,000-$119,000BenefitsFull-time employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave per year (pro-rated for new hires), paid holidays, and eligible for paid bereavement leave. Canadian employees and dependents have access to supplemental healthcare coverage and company-provided life insurance and AD&D coverage. Part-time and temporary employees have similar sick leave benefits and coverage where applicable.
