We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, coding, testing & implementation). You Are UST is searching for a Java Backend Developer who will participate in all aspects of the SDLC (analysis, design, coding testing & implementation). The Opportunity Must be able to work as an independent developer with no/minimal local oversight Detail oriented, ability to turn deliverables around quickly with high degree of accuracy Analyze business requirements; write functional and minor development specifications Code solutions that meet the business requirements in a timely and accurate manner Capability to approach problems as challenges and deal with them positively and constructively Sets an example for team members in hard work, client delivery focus, preparedness, organization, positive attitude and respect for others This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. What You Need Strong in Core Java, object-oriented concepts Experience with Spring framework and Cucumber testing framework Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs & JSON Good knowledge of relational databases (SQL, JDBC), stored procedures Code repository tools – GitHub, Bitbucket; CI/CD pipelines – Jenkins Containerized deployments – Kubernetes, Podman; Cloud deployment Scripting languages – Python, shell scripts Good time management skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at once Strong desire to understand and learn the domain Experience in financial services/banking domain, specifically Wealth Management is a plus Snowflake, Azure AKS deployment, AngularJS, TypeScript Location & Compensation Role Location : Quebec Compensation Range : $95,000-$119,000 Benefits Full-time employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave per year (pro-rated for new hires), paid holidays, and eligible for paid bereavement leave. Canadian employees and dependents have access to supplemental healthcare coverage and company-provided life insurance and AD&D coverage. Part-time and temporary employees have similar sick leave benefits and coverage where applicable. Where more generous sick leave benefits exist by law, those will apply.
