Job Summary The Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) uses their knowledge, skill and judgement in imaging technique and radiation-emitting equipment, together with an extensive knowledge of the principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology, image acquisition, treatment and radiation protection to deliver high quality care to their patients. The MRT ensures the care provided is safe, appropriate, tailored, timely, and maximizes the potential of the available equipment and resources. Job Details Job Number: J1025-0220 Job Title: Medical Radiation Technologist Job Type: Casual Job Location: Alliston Job Category: Diagnostic Imaging Number Of Open Positions: 1 Department: Diagnostic Imaging Union: OPSEU 396 Salary: $36.84 - $50.24/Hour Fte: 1 Shift Duration: All Shifts Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography from an accredited educational institution. CMRITO mandatory, MRT (R) OAMRS highly recommended. Current BCLS. Successful completion of IV contrast media injection course/experience required. Training in cross sectional anatomy. Three (3) years experience in a hospital setting in Radiography and minimum one (1) year experience in CT. Proven knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety. Skills & Abilities Demonstrates ability to utilize diagnostic imaging and hospital software systems. Demonstrates excellent clinical skills and professional leadership capabilities with a focus on collaborative teamwork, patient flow and quality improvements. Demonstrates excellent problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates proficiency in written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize workloads and manage stressful work environments.
