Examples of short-term positions include administrative, office management, accounting, finance, IT, website management, graphic design, motion graphics, film editing, human resources, event planning, student services, fundraising, communications, and project management.Desired Skills & ExperienceIdeal UTemp candidates are knowledgeable, professional, and enthusiastic, with demonstrated abilities to pick up new skills quickly. They have strong administrative skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Quercus, Rosi, SAP, project management software, or other desirable programs. Candidates with work experience in a college or university environment, government, non-profit, or private sector are highly sought after. Our candidates understand that the work we provide is subject to the current short-term opportunities at the University of Toronto, ranging from four hours to five and a half months.EducationVariable, as we are more interested in your work history.ExperienceThree or more years of related work experience.Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to learn quickly with minimal training.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Flexibility, initiative, innovation, with the ability to work and learn proactively. A strong public service orientation, excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and effective teamwork are required.Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently and carry out projects of varying complexity for extended periods.Locations for Short-term ContractsIt is possible to work at one or all four of our locations.
