Role overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Routing and Switching, Firewalls (Palo Alto), Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS), Infoblox DDI, Meraki-managed Switching and Wireless Access Points. This role involves deploy, configure and managing sophisticated network infrastructure in a retail distribution center.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and manage physical and wireless networks. Ensure connectivity between phones, computers, routers, intranets, extranets, and more.
• Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency
• Lead all aspects of network operations through ServiceNow and JIRA ensuring flawless workflows and automation
• Network device monitoring, performance analysis, capacity planning and management.
• Incident and Problem analysis, Identify areas for improvement
• Change planning and implementation of network maintenance activities and other required network changes
• Collaborate with vendors, professional services and remote hands.
• Manage documentation, including network circuit diagrams and inventory.

What you bring to the role

• 5-7 years of network hands-on experience in Routing and Switching, Firewalls (Palo Alto), Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS), Infoblox DDI, Meraki-managed Switching and Wireless Access Points.
• Network certification such as Cisco CCNA and 3 years of hands-on experience
• Strong fundamental knowledge of OSI layers 1-4
• knowledge of switching (e.g. VLAN, STP, FHRP), firewalls, wireless, and Cloud networking
• Hands-on experience with Meraki and Palo Alto, Infoblox, Azure/AWS Networking, and ServiceNow preferred
• Nice to have the knowledge of Routing protocols (OSPF and BGP)
• Experience working with vendors, professional services, and remote hands

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an Onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client office in Milton/Mississauga, ON. Canada. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a balanced work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
