Salary Range 66,400.00 - 99,600.00 CAD Job Description We are looking for a passionate Front End Developer Level 2 to be a versatile team member accountable for the design, assessment, development, implementation, configuration, and testing of robust new back‑end and front‑end features and functionality for OLG digital and our lottery businesses. This role requires strong experience in programming and application analysis with a focus on building RESTful APIs and integrating them with cloud services. You will collaborate with stakeholders across OLG to ensure application and infrastructure designs deliver the desired business results. Responsibilities Gather business requirements, scope work, estimate timelines, and architect solutions. Utilize standard and emerging technologies to design and build solutions that execute features in the product roadmap as well as smaller amendments to existing products. Constantly seek to optimize live applications for speed and scalability. Architect, design, configure, and develop visually appealing AEM templates, components, permissions, and policies to deliver high‑quality front‑end architecture for web and mobile. Develop enterprise applications using AEM, including templates, data, and component development. Configure integrations, conduct unit testing, and address technical fixes during subsequent testing. Develop and deploy proofs of concept, prototypes, and sanity tests leveraging agile methodologies and tools. Maintain code and configuration repositories to ensure centralized monitoring and management. Evaluate and determine optimal toolsets to support all activities of this role, including automating the CI/CD pipeline. Support the change and release management process (ITIL) including defining release strategy and associated task planning for change projects, service readiness, acceptance, and transition. Provide tier three application support, including on‑call support as required to resolve issues timely. Identify potential solution risks/issues and communicate to relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies. Prepare documentation and other relevant information to transition to the operating team for business‑as‑usual. Conduct changes required to existing systems (e.g., upgrades, new releases, optimization). Demonstrate experience with AEM building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and bundles. Manage CMS platform issues with support teams and stakeholders. Run extensive QA to ensure consistency across devices and browsers. Develop and maintain APIs and all supporting code; design and build micro‑services. Build reusable code and libraries for future use. Work collaboratively within an Agile environment. Cross‑Functional Relationships Work in close partnership with the lab team and product owners to gather and understand business requirements. Interact with technology and operations partners to share and align on standards, best practices, and emerging trends on Dev/Ops and agile methodology. Collaborate with 3rd‑party or contracted resources or external technology vendors to jointly develop solutions. Requirements 5+ years of experience in AEM with a focus on implementation. Experience/understanding of automated build/deploy process and familiarity with DevOps/Agile methodology. Familiarity with agile tools such as Jira and Confluence. Minimum two years progressive experience in medium to large IT environments. Minimum one year experience in solution application/infrastructure design, development and/or delivery. Bachelor's degree in computer science. Competence in designing and developing user interfaces and single‑page apps (SPA) leveraging Vue.js or React.js best practices. Fundamental understanding of coding, dev and working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML/HTL and willingness to upskill quickly. Knowledge of automating builds using Maven, unit testing, and continuous integration. Expert understanding of AEM and its comprehensive capabilities. Experience developing and migrating content and functionality between AEM environments. Strong experience with SOAP, Sling, and RESTful APIs. Strong communication skills and ability to produce high‑quality output under strict timelines. Effective teamwork with a diverse set of SMEs and stakeholders. Strategic thinking and ability to creatively find solutions and new use‑cases. Collaboration and fun mindset, inclusive and collaborative work style.
