U15 Canada cherche un leader visionnaire qui se démarque par son inspiration pour être son prochain chef de la direction (CdD). Créée en 2012, U15 Canada est une association de quinze grandes universités de recherche du Canada qui s’emploie à optimiser les politiques et les programmes de recherche et d’innovation favorisant l’acquisition de connaissances, la formation de dirigeants hautement qualifiés dans tous les secteurs et la mobilisation du savoir dans l’intérêt de tous les Canadiens. De cette façon, U15 Canada tente d’aider les universités canadiennes à rendre l’avenir prospère, durable et juste pour tous. 

Relevant du Conseil d’administration par l’intermédiaire du Comité exécutif, le CdD a la responsabilité de donner des directives stratégiques, financières et opérationnelles qui correspondent à la vision du Comité exécutif et aux besoins de tous les membres de U15. À titre d’ambassadeur de U15, le CdD dirige le programme politique national d’U15 en offrant des conseils et des analyses clés sur l’enseignement et la recherche‑développement de niveau supérieur. Par des activités de rassemblement, de promotion et d’intendance, le CdD sollicite des intervenants fédéraux et d’autres paliers, collabore avec Universités Canada et d’autres organisations nationales, et prend part au réseau mondial des organisations universitaires axées sur la recherche.

Le candidat idéal jouit d’une solide réputation de chef de file institutionnel exceptionnel et est une voix respectée au sein de l’écosystème canadien de la recherche. Vous êtes un cadre dirigeant visionnaire chevronné qui possède de l’expertise en matière de recherche universitaire, de relation avec les intervenants, de partenariats et d’influence politique. Vous êtes orienté vers l’avenir et apte à naviguer des panoramas géopolitiques complexes, et possédez la capacité de promouvoir stratégiquement l’octroi de fonds pour la recherche afin de faire en sorte que U15 Canada soit bien positionnée pour influencer la sphère politique et obtenir l’aide nécessaire au sein d’un contexte changeant. Vous êtes réputé pour votre capacité de tisser de solides relations avec divers intervenants et votre efficacité lorsqu’il s’agit de mener à bien des initiatives ambitieuses. Vous êtes un excellent collaborateur déterminé à habiliter votre équipe à concrétiser collectivement le mandat de l’organisation. Une forte préférence sera accordée aux candidats bilingues dans les deux langues officielles, et le candidat retenu devra maintenir une présence à Ottawa.
