Senior Associate Recruiter, Early Careers

Our Capital One Early Careers Team.

Early Careers Recruitment is a critical, strategic and high-volume pipeline for Capital One Canada. As a member of this fast-paced, high-performing team, you will work to attract highly talented students and individuals in the early stages of their career through proactive sourcing, innovative events, and close partnership with the business. We recruit diverse talent who will be our future leaders and impact our customer's experiences with Capital One Canada. Our culture and people are integral to our growth and success. We are looking for leaders who will challenge the status quo and develop their teams, all while providing a world-class candidate experience.

As the Sr. Associate, Early Careers, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end full life-cycle recruitment for students and new graduates, and support the development of innovative attraction and recruitment practices. You'll serve as a key liaison to campus and other external partners, and spearhead process improvements to ensure we are continually enhancing our processes. As the subject-matter expert, you'll keep up-to-date with market trends and identify event and program opportunities, and lead the planning, execution and post-mortem for recruitment initiatives.

Working With Us.

Associates working in the hybrid model are expected to come into the office 3 days a week across Tuesdays and Thursdays, reserving Mondays and Fridays as company-wide virtual days. As was true before the pandemic, expectations of being in the office will be balanced with personal life flexibility.

At Capital One we're committed to diversity, inclusion and belonging. We strive to build a culture where diverse perspectives are valued, innovative ideas are encouraged and inclusive behaviours are embedded in everything we do to positively impact associates.

We're focused on helping associates live well—physically, financially and emotionally. When you join us, we support you and those who are most important to you, offering full coverage for spouses, domestic partners, and dependents. We've designed our benefits program to be flexible, comprehensive and consistent across our organization.

Capital One Canada is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. We consider all qualified applicants and will meet the needs of those requiring reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities:
  1. End-to-end recruitment: Own the full life-cycle recruitment process for core lines of businesses, including executing all stages of the recruitment process. Support the evolution of multi-year strategic roadmaps from ideation to implementation alongside the Manager, Talent Strategy.

  3. Market analysis: Keep up-to-date with Early Careers Recruitment trends and gather insights to influence strategic improvements or shifts needed to better understand the changing market landscape, and stay competitive in the space.
  4. Talent analytics: Support with the design and implementation of innovative attraction and recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pipeline of students and new grad talent. Track and analyze key performance metrics to influence data driven decisions and to share results, trends, and recommendations with business stakeholders.
  5. Process management: Dedicated to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes, ensuring our processes are well managed, while focusing on risk management and governance.
  6. Brand ambassadorship: Be the face of Capital One Canada, on and off Campus, amplifying our mission and Employee Value Proposition.
Here's what you'll need to be successful:
  1. A blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytical reasoning.
  2. Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams.
  3. Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization.
  4. Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track performance, and drive decision making.
  5. Entrepreneurial ability to identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts.
Basic Qualifications:
