If you thrive on solving complex technical challenges, this lab is your ideal place.About the JobDevelop high-speed modulators, with a focus on RF design in traveling-wave modulator designs, including traveling line, Balun, biasing and termination circuit designEvaluate modulators on different material systems which use various physical effects, including the use of Pockel’s effect, plasma dispersion effect, etc.Develop new equalization techniques to enhance device bandwidth or to engineer the dispersionLead the characterization of high-speed modulators, design and validate photonic components, subsystems and circuitsDefine test plans and analyze experimental dataCollaborate closely with other teams to develop advanced silicon photonics platformAbout the ideal candidatePhD or Master’s Degree in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field5+ years of industry experience in integrated optics, designing photonic components in silicon photonics or III/V materialsTrack record of successful project management of high-speed modulator developmentHands-on experience with RF modelling tools (CST, HFSS, ADS, COMSOL, Lumerical) and RF characterization of high-speed componentsGeneral knowledge of silicon photonics devices and process flowHands-on experience with layout tools (e.g. Tanner L-Edit, Luceda Ipkiss)Experience with Python and Linux is an assetStrong team player and creative problem solver with excellent written and oral communication skills#LI-PB1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
