About the Job:

  • Develop high-speed modulators, with a focus on RF design in traveling-wave modulator designs, including traveling line, Balun, biasing and termination circuit design

  • Evaluate modulators on different material systems which use various physical effects, including the use of Pockel's effect, plasma dispersion effect, etc.

  • Develop new equalization techniques to enhance device bandwidth or to engineer the dispersion

  • Lead the characterization of high-speed modulators, design and validate photonic components, subsystems and circuits

  • Define test plans and analyze experimental data

  • Collaborate closely with other teams to develop advanced silicon photonics platform
