If you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can thrive and advance in your career, this is the role for you – apply now.Salary: Up to $85KKey ResponsibilitiesAssisting with drafting pleadings, LAT form and motion materialsReview and organize new file materials from client, and updated file materialsPaperless/Hard Copy briefing of files and summarizing documentsPreparation of examinations for discovery, mediation, case conference, hearings, EUOs, and appellate mattersMonitoring and reviewing productions and provide counsel with a pre-discovery (or pre-hearing), pre-case conference, post-case conference list of productions/documents/information to request from counselUpdate medical summaries and OCF-18 chart (Treatment and Assessment Plan) chartAll aspects of arranging, preparing briefs, hearing preparation including managing and scheduling expert witnesses for preparation sessions and hearings, liaising IME facilitiesMaintain knowledge and comply with the firm’s practice and file management policies and proceduresDocket time and billings accordinglyEffective management of deadlines and prioritiesAdministrative duties, as requiredQualificationsMinimum 4+ years experience in Accident Benefits in Insurance DefenceCollege Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks Ontario CertificateUnderstanding of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and Rules of Civil ProcedureStrong technical skills including Microsoft Office, Kofax PDF, ProLawExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlinesAbility to process a high volume of documentation with excellent attention to detailFlexible and dependable with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesDemonstrates discretion, sound judgment and diplomacy in dealing with confidential mattersProfessional and team-oriented with strong interpersonal and client service skillsTo apply, please forward your resume to Zaheeda Merali, Manager – Law Clerk Search at zaheeda@cartelinc.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
