Banking Wealth and Regulatory Lawyer Duration: 12 / 01 / to 01 / 29 / – 13-14 months Work Location: 4 days in office – no fixed WFH day, Toronto ON CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS Degree / Certifications Required: Bachelors of Law or LLB, JD – had to been called to the Bar Years of Overall Experience: 5-7 years Ideal Candidate Background: handle any work in the asset management, handling any real estate, negotiating contracts, working on changes on contracts. infrastructure and private credit investment teams, security regulator Department Overview The Wealth and Asset Management Legal Team provides strategic and practical legal advice to advance the objectives and strategies, as well as the risk management requirements of the Wealth businesses, which includes Asset Management Inc. This position will be primarily dedicated to supporting the business. Daily Responsibilities You will be involved in a wide range of asset management legal matters, with a focus on supporting institutional business. This includes: (i) advising on the launch and distribution of private pooled and alternative funds; (ii) providing legal support to The Bank's real estate, infrastructure and private credit investment teams; (iii) drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and documentation; (iv) providing legal and regulatory advice in relation to investment funds, portfolio management, and fund management services; (v) working on strategic initiatives, including global distribution projects; (vi) working with internal stakeholders and managing external counsel to achieve business objectives; and (vii) providing advice on corporate governance and other regulatory matters.
