Intermediate Planner

Apply for the Intermediate Planner role at Town of Innisfil. Base pay range $79,261 – $94,349 per annum. Why Innisfil? Responsibilities Process and evaluate applications for all types of land use including Official Plan amendments, zoning by‑law amendments, draft plans of subdivision and condominium, minor variances and consents, Community Planning Permitting System (CPPS) and other related applications. Review and lead a range of development applications including transit‑oriented development (TOD) and prepares accompanying staff reports and recommendations to Council. Assist in the preparation for Public Meetings, Council meetings and Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) matters; lead various public and stakeholder consultation processes. Prepare terms of reference and brief consultants on special planning studies as required; review and evaluate proposals. Provide planning comments on building permits, site plans, Committee of Adjustment applications, Ministry applications, development applications, Community Planning Permitting review (CPPS), and complete Site Visits as required. Qualifications University Degree in Planning or related field. Minimum of 4‑6 years of progressive experience in a planning or land use planning environment. Full membership of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. Valid Class “G” Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle for corporate business with availability for evening meetings or other events if necessary. Closing date November 20, 2025.
