Lecturer (Anatomy) – Education Focused Full time – 35 hours per week, fixed‑term contract until 31 December 2027. Remuneration: Level B from $127,947 + 17% superannuation and annual leave loading. Location: Kensington Campus, Sydney, New South Wales (hybrid flexible working opportunities available). About the Role We are seeking a passionate educator to join UNSW as a Lecturer in Anatomy (Education Focused). In this role, you will contribute to dynamic undergraduate teaching within the discipline of Anatomy and work collaboratively with other disciplines in the School of Biomedical Sciences. Your responsibilities will include delivering lectures, tutorials and practical classes, designing innovative learning activities and assessments, experimenting with new teaching approaches, and providing meaningful support to students individually and as a cohort. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of biomedical education and to develop innovative teaching and learning approaches with support from senior academics. Key Accountabilities Contribute to undergraduate teaching across Anatomy and related disciplines. Prepare, deliver and evaluate lectures, tutorials, practical classes and small‑group learning sessions. Develop and implement a well‑defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning. Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback in line with UNSW policy. Create and refine learning activities, resources, assessments and feedback using diverse approaches and environments. Initiate experimental teaching and learning approaches with support from senior academics. Support student learning progression through one‑to‑one consultation and cohort‑wide advice. Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance. Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and accreditation requirements. Participate in School meetings, seminars and relevant committee responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience Australian working rights or citizenship (visa sponsorship not available). PhD in anatomical sciences or a medical degree with relevant professional expertise. Demonstrated effective biomedical teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to educational excellence. Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds, contributing to equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
