Are you ready to take the first step towards a leadership finance role in a company committed to your success? The Minery is looking for a Director of Finance for a client located in the General Toronto Area

As a key member of the sales team, the Director of Finance helps bring life to the automotive sales experience. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire finance and insurance team and their processes. The Director will be devoted to ensuring customer satisfaction as well as overall dealership success.

We are looking for someone who is extremely skilled in financing and is responsible for teaching, leading and managing a large team of finance managers to deliver an outstanding experience to our customers, drive high CSI and consistent profitability.

Job Duties:

  • Take a leadership role in providing solutions to employee and customer problems.
  • Instruct and train sales associates in the methods of selling finance/lease customer options.
  • Increase profitability within the finance department.
  • Maintain a turnover program to ensure a 100% turnover ratio to the finance department.
  • Finalize transactions and ensure deals are approved and funded.
  • Responsible for the attainment and gross production of financial services goals and objectives.
  • Manage the entire team of Financial Services Managers collaboratively with the Sales Managers.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above company standards.
  • Ensure that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with organizational guidelines and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the lending institution.
  • Ensure adherence to finance and insurance reporting requirements of the company.
  • Accurately audit steam deals post-sale.
  • Ensure the expeditious funding of all contracts.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales management team to secure excellent profit from every retail sale.
  • Consult with the customer to determine their need for financing and explore payment options.
  • Establish a positive relationship with customers as they are presented products and services.

Successful Candidates Possess:

  • Valid OMVIC certification.
  • Dealership experience for 5-10 years.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to work in a team and possess strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
  • Self-motivated with excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to problem solve and high attention to detail.
  • Loves a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer skills and understanding of technology.
  • Experience with Dealership Management Systems.
