CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) is dedicated to transforming lives through courage, respect and excellence. The INTREPID Lab is seeking a full‑time, 12‑month contract Community Health and Education (CH&E) Specialist experienced in knowledge translation to design, develop and implement professional training programs, including online courses, web‑based resources and other learning materials for diverse audiences. Responsibilities Conduct environmental scans and literature searches; synthesize evidence‑based information for knowledge products. Create storyboards and develop interactive learning activities; design course content for online Learning Management Systems such as Moodle and Articulate. Conduct needs assessments and identify training needs among target populations. Engage diverse learner and stakeholder populations, including youth, students, teachers, health‑care providers and parents/caregivers. Apply a scientific lens to the initiation and development of new training and education initiatives. Lead discussions with subject‑matter expert advisory groups to support training development. Search for state‑of‑the‑art scientific knowledge and practices related to prevention, harm reduction, policy and cessation of tobacco and nicotine use, including e‑cigarettes and vaping. Develop outreach and engagement strategies to support recruitment and participation in course development and knowledge translation. Create digital content across a variety of formats, including social‑media platforms and other web‑based tools. The CH&E Specialist will develop accredited course curricula, training programs, educational and presentation materials, and implement a comprehensive evaluation plan for online learning. The successful candidate will evaluate training modules on a variety of process and outcome measures, contribute to the development of the department’s strategic priorities, and support a healthy, diverse workplace that encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable policies. Job Requirements Master’s Degree in Education, Public Health, Social Science or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the development and delivery of training and education programming. Experience in instructional design and knowledge of educational and learning theories, curriculum design and evaluation models. Key Qualifications Demonstrated experience working within an online Learning Management System; expertise in Moodle a strong asset. Experience developing interactive learning objects and using HTML to build content into online LMS platforms. Advanced knowledge of university library databases and reference material search and retrieval procedures. Strong working proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), social media platforms, reference management software and statistical software (SPSS, SAS). Strong knowledge‑translation, dissemination and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into engaging formats for diverse audiences; experience creating knowledge‑transfer products for youth is an asset. Superior interpersonal and written/​verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and a determined attitude toward ensuring accuracy and integrity. Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills. Project‑management skills; familiarity with project planning, coordination and facilitating team meetings. Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and with diverse stakeholder groups. Proficiency in a second language, such as French/English, is an asset. Please Note: This full-time, 12‑month contract position is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.
