Role Description UST Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team on a client‑facing project. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Microsoft’s BI stack and demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with business users and cross‑functional teams. The Opportunity Engage with business users to gather requirements and provide technical insights. Collaborate proactively with team members to deliver high‑quality BI solutions. Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using the Microsoft BI stack. Work with various data and model artifacts to support robust data analysis and reporting. What You Need 5-10 years of experience. Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting. Strong experience with the Microsoft BI Stack, particularly: SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) – essential due to its prevalence in the project environment. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) – beneficial but not mandatory. Familiarity with Tableau is considered a plus. Data Artifacts Expertise: Connecting to diverse data sources including databases, files, and APIs. Developing dataflows and Power Query (M‑code) transformations. Creating and managing tables, relationships, calculated columns, measures, and hierarchies within Power BI. Model Artifacts Proficiency: Designing comprehensive data models with appropriate semantic layers. Implementing row‑level security (RLS) and defining roles. Creating perspectives for targeted data consumption, particularly in Analysis Services. Candidate Profile: Proven experience as a senior BI developer in enterprise environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders. A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Role Location Remote Compensation Range $104,000–$130,000 Benefits Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company‑paid Employee‑Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage. Full‑time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires throughout the year). Part‑time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires throughout the year).
