This opportunity will be integral to client solutions and services such as digitizing manual processes, creating custom reporting tools, machine control, IoT concepts, and much moreThe Integrated Software Specialist will apply creativity and programming skills to SCADA/MES systems creating unique solutions for clients in a wide variety of industries. If you are passionate about delivering technical solutions, mentoring others, and coordinating activities with clients, this role is for youJob SummaryExecute and lead technical tasks including:Create software/digital solutions for current and new SCADA/MES clientsDevelop code and scripting in multiple languages including JSON, Python, T-SQL, HTML, JAVA & .NET, and apply to industrial automation systems (i.e. Ignition and/or FactoryTalk SE)Execute preliminary visual samples for quoting and concept purposesDesign detailed functional specifications and process flow diagramsIntegrate database applications with real time and PLC controlled automation systemsParticipate in stand-ups, work planning, and technical reviewsUtilize Jira for progress updates and ticket managementManage client relationships and project scopeLead commissioning, testing, and debugging of automation systems (remotely or at clients' sites)Ensure accurate and complete project documentationPromote efficiencies and continuous improvementStay current with applicable standards, codes, and rulesSupport clients during regular hours, after hours, and weekends as requiredEngage in initiatives to share knowledge and support team developmentPurchase hardware and materials for projectsMaintain and develop technical knowledge through training and industry eventsUtilize non-chargeable time efficiently through approved activitiesIdentify potential projects and opportunities for RidgeTech AutomationUphold company policies and submit timesheets/service reports accuratelyJob Qualifications and SkillsDegree/diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and/or Control Systems is required3+ years of experience with JSON, Python, JAVA & .NET, T-SQL, or HTML/CSSCertified in Inductive Automation Ignition Platform (Core, Gold, or equivalent)Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)Database experience with creating models and optimization techniquesCreative mind for creating user friendly user interfaces with strong attention to detailProven ability to communicate well with both clients and fellow team membersPrevious practical experience in the controls and automation industryStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver fully tested workQuick learner, able to work independently or in a teamEffective time management and task ownershipHighly motivated team player with a positive attitudeCoaching skills to provide feedback and directionInitiative to learn and complete trainingProgramming experience with PLCs is an assetAdditional RequirementsHold and maintain a valid Class G licenseHave dependable transportation to get to the office and local client sitesRidgeTech Team Members EnjoyTraining & development opportunities (through new technology, new industries, or unique projects)Group benefits planWellness & safety accountsProfit sharingGroup RRSPFlexible hours & flexible work arrangements as projects allowAbout UsRidgeTech Automation Inc. is a control systems integrator.
