Senior Manager, National Quality Monitoring Responsibilities:

  1. Lead elements and contribute to the ongoing development of the firm-wide internal quality management systems and monitoring programs that directly result in ongoing efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
  2. Respond to changing industry, national and international standards in developing internal risk management policies, systems, and programs.
  3. Create a quality monitoring environment that's aligned with the firm's cultural aspirations - to be consistent, transparent, educational, and directly facilitate a culture of change.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues in the National Quality Monitoring group and the Professional Practice Group, to determine monitoring and quality management system needs in alignment with the firm's overall business strategy and relevant professional standards.
  5. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide support and facilitate change management to help our people thrive.
  6. Contribute to the development of best-in-class recommendations to drive improvements at the engagement, business unit, service line, and firm levels.
  7. Ensure compliance with all required regulatory monitoring requirements, including assisting in liaising with various external regulators.

Requirements:

  1. Exceptional business acumen learned through experience and supported by relevant academic credentials; Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred.
  2. Minimum of 7 years' overall experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in manager roles, in a public accounting or professional services firm, and/or with leading regulatory inspections and/or quality control initiatives.
  3. Past experience reviewing work product from a quality control perspective is an asset.
  4. A practical orientation, entrepreneurial spirit, and growth mindset will be important.
  5. Ability to work well autonomously in remote as well as onsite teams.
  6. Ability and interest in working flexibly, including occasionally outside of normal work hours, and likely including travel.
