Human Resources Professional: Senior Talent & Strategy Leader| Talent Acquisition & Recruitment | Strategic HR Management

The ideal candidate will have a background supporting financial objectives within a large global manufacturing company, As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for corporate tax and compliance, reporting and auditing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex, Canadian and multi-state corporate tax returns (experience with US and CDN GAAP required)
  • Review tax filings prepared by an outside service provider to ensure the accurate reporting of income taxes
  • Manage forms and ordinances from various jurisdictions, as well as quarterly estimated tax payment filings
  • Process extensions, tax returns and tax payment requisitions
  • Support in preparing year-end and quarterly IAS 12, analysis and reviewing to ensure consolidated tax provision is timely and accurately forecasted and reported in accordance with IFRS, including deferred tax roll forwards
  • Work with the financial reporting group on financial statement tax disclosures, including tax rate reconciliation and deferred tax detail

Qualifications

  • CPA and/or CMP Designated, and/or actively pursuing CPA
  • 4+ years of Corporate income tax compliance and provision experience
  • Background interpreting and analyzing accounting rules, tax laws, regulations
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills are required
